In this project, AI was introduced as an early sketching tool to generate images from a written prompt. The design work focused on how the written words, terms and commands directed the soft wear in a different direction.
AI sketching was used to visual structures, colours and mood, through visually referencing natural phenomenons and became the base aesthetics for the knitted textiles. In the goddess piece, dragonfly wings, fins, fish scales and crystals were referenced to portray lightness, divinity and air. The earthly body, represented by Maiden, Mother, and Crone had more gory references such as bones, flesh, stones, and fossils. The Decay piece, which should be hollow and abandoned used honeycombed, fish bones and empty shells as references. More general AI sketching was also used to create environments, colour schemes and moods which influence the later photography work.
