The Decay pieces explore the decaying process of the earthly body.  This piece portrays the abandoned body, and the decline in material after the end of life. It is the remains, an abounded exoskeleton. The textile is made out of stripes of PVA and monofilament/ shrinking polyester positioned on the body in vertical and horizontal lines. The three textiles are gathered and pinned to create bulging, voluminous and sculptural shapes around the midriff which hangs down on one side. The textile is light and stiff, a result of the shrinking polyester being heat treated under tension.
