The Crone pieces explore the crescendo of the growth cycle when the textiles overwhelm the wearer and grow out of the proportions of the body. The earthly body is completely overgrown and protected. The textile is partially knitted with a bone structure of shrinking polyester and cells made of monofilament and cotton, which contains colour gradation. Two identical knits are layering each other, the monofilament/cotton in the background and the one with only monofilament in the front. The two layers increase the bulkiness and volume but the translucency allows us the see the layers and the vertical and horizontal lines of the bone structure underneath, but diffuses the strength of the colour, mimicking the oldest shells which have lost their colour after years of wear and tear.
